NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Uniformed Protective Services

The NCFE Level 1/2 Certificate in Uniformed Protective Services (Qualification Number: 603/4349/7) is designed to introduce learners to the essential skills and knowledge required for a career in uniformed protective services. This qualification covers two primary units: “Introduction to Uniformed Protective Services Skills” and “Physical Preparation for the Uniformed Protective Services.” . Assessment is conducted internally, focusing on practical abilities and theoretical understanding. Upon successful completion, individuals can progress to further education or pursue entry-level roles within various uniformed protective services.

What We Do

We provide students with the technical skills, knowledge, and understanding of roles within the uniformed protective services. This course combines classroom learning with hands-on experiences in land and water-based activities, including cycling, hiking, kayaking, and raft building. Students also complete the Duke of Edinburgh qualification, which enhances teamwork, leadership, and practical problem-solving skills.

Key areas of focus:

  • Practical Skills Development: Completing and reviewing risk assessments for activities to ensure safety and preparedness.
  • Core Units:
    1. Introduction to Uniformed Protective Services Skills (Year 10).
    2. Physical Preparation for the Uniformed Protective Services (Year 11).
  • Real-World Application: Building physical fitness, mental resilience, and understanding the responsibilities of protective service roles.
