At Links Multi Academy Trust we work with parents/carers and families to create the best possible outcomes for all of our children.
The Pastoral team consist of Ms T Wallace (Lead) and Mrs L Spelman who are available to talk through any issues that parents/carers or children may have. You can contact them at any point throughout the day.
Mr Bunn is our PCSO who is on site and supports the children whilst developing their relationships and perceptions of the Police.
Your child will be allocated a Form Tutor who will provide weekly email contact via our Green cards. There is also an expectation that parents/carers will attend a once half termly meeting (SPRD meeting) to talk through progress and targets setting for the term. Form Tutors are readily available by phone or email if you wish to discuss anything related to your child.
Your child will also be allocated a Mentor who will provide a weekly, 1:1 session of 25 minutes where your child leads on the discussion/activity and seek advice, share positive experiences or have some down time from the academic pressures.
If you require any support or have any queries please get in touch with the Form Tutor or Pastoral team.
We hold regular Student Parent Review Days throughout the academic year, during this appointment there is the opportunity to discuss your child’s progression with our Pastoral team. Your child’s targets will be discussed by all involved, including the Parents/Carers and Student allowing for optimal success while at Links Multi Academy Trust. We insist on family involvement and are available to discuss any concerns you may have. Whilst we are predominantly here to work with the young people in our setting, we recognise that no truly holistic approach to child development can operate without supporting the parent/carers as well. We will offer support ourselves, signpost and refer to outside agencies whenever there is a need to do so. However, this is always done in consultation, and with the support of, parent/carers.
We work with several outside agencies when required. Although by no means an exhaustive list, among them are:
If your child is going to be late or unable to attend school for any reason, please contact us by phone on 01727 836150 or 01707 346170.
